omgarsh happy halloween!! Hope everyone got lots of candy. I did, and I don't eat candy... Not that I went trick or treating, I just got pummeled with sweets at our class party, which was horribly boring and sad, but had lots of candy which I can't eat.
anyhoo... chad and I took our dogs on a walk this evening. yes, we have a new dog. She found us a couple of weeks ago, and since we haven't been able to find her family, we're keeping her. She is beautiful, loves us, is housebroken, in great shape, and most definitely mostly Chocolate Lab.

So Sammy's okay with this new dog?
More to the point, how's the new dog with kids?

she is the sweetest thing. I haven't seen her with kids yet, but she has not shown one single aggressive tendency and right away was submissive to Sammy. I wouldn't say he's in love with her, but he tolerates her well, and sometimes they even play together. She is definitely in love with him, kisses him all the time.
She even had no problem with Molly at all, and we trust her 99% of the time around her... that 1% being that she sometimes gets into hunter mode when she sees her (never barks or growls, just stands really still with ears forward and tail straight and starts to slowly walk towards her). All I have to do is say "Bailey" to distract her and she forgets about it. Other than that she doesn't seem to mind the cat and the cat is wary but ok with her.
She doesn't even jump, unless she's really REALLY excited, and then she stops after one "no" or push.
I think she will love Cate and vice versa.
She is housebroken, and we're currently crate training her because she has a real issue with separation anxiety. It's only been a couple of weeks, so although she's been really good for the most part, she wakes up every morning sometime between 3-5am and whines/howls until someone lets her out to pee, then that someone has to lay down on the couch and she goes right back to sleep in her crate.
