My friends and I are all gonna be rolling destruction. We haven't yet decided on a server. I think I'm gonna give up on following the VN crowd, because listening to them on the boards it's mostly the Stout/Hoss people that I didn't get along with that well anyways. Besides that, every old guild is picking different servers anyways, so I don't think we're gonna be able to get that galahad atmosphere back.

I'll try to go to the same place you guys do (as long as you pick destruction!!!)

I voted for Order, but will of course go with consensus. I could be evil... .I think...

As for Servers, I think we just need to make sure we all end up on the same server 1st day... so we don't have to even think about re-rolling on a new server on day 4, etc...

I'm even happy to assign someone first-in to pick server, rights. .. as long as they logout and post here ASAP!

I will be sticking to mid/hib/alb and Mainly allinace/occasionally horde for now. Unless D breaks down and upgrades the computers.

WoW runs great on all 4 of them
DaoC runs good on 3 of them and ok on one.
WH runs like crap on all but one.

And we just tired of having to buy new computers or $1000 worth of computer parts just to try and play a game everytime a new one comes out.

Don't understand why they cant all make them run as good as WoW does. They all need take lessons from Blizzard

Have you tried running the game since they introduced the graphic options?

In the closed beta/preview weekend, all options were forced to medium, which also had a very large draw distance. You could scale that down now.

not to mention, a slightly old machine will perform very well with an extra stick of RAM and a slightly newer video card.

e.g. Double your RAM, and get an Nvidia 256MB card .. might only cost you $250.

Still some cash.. but I suppose cheaper than other hobbies.

Ok I had my fun and found that I didnt really care which side I was on because the basic builds are the same.. Unfortunately it wont be till we get to 25+ that the builds will truly become important... I did have a lot of fun though..

I played a Rune Priest, Archmage, Bright Wiz, Sorc and Witch Hunter... I didnt try either of the pet capable classes.. I had my time with the BD in DAOC and Warlock in WoW..

I think pure caster will suit my gameplay best, but did enjoy my Priest...

I found the melee class, WH to be a fairly boring key mashing exercise.. I'll let someone else exercise their fingers with that one, hopefully the Witch Elf isnt the destro mirror Lil...

Now all I need is a server to start on, come on folks, lets get this right... Losing touch on WoW was one of my reasons for abandoning it.. I play for the company mostly, not the game..

Well, as expected, the poll is dead even.... and it feels like it wants to land on the side of DESTRUCTION.

I agree with Sooth totally. Let's all make sure we are on the same server! If I could get logged on tonight (some issue is holding up logins), I would help us pick a server name.

I will post a server name & DESTRUCTION faction on this forum, before the 18th... so pleease check her for the official ruling on server & faction.

After that, I really hope you all come to play on that server and as a group with VT. I really miss hanging out wiht you all in some dark dank dungeon with creepy badasses trying to take our lunch pails.

although I've been in beta for a bit, I have yet to pick up the game due to the fact that other things are taking precedence right now.

Hopefully by next week, but I'm not holding my breath.
