In Memorium --- Bloodfist

Post by Blodsteinn »

Hi folks.

I have some bad news.

Late yesterday evening, one of our long-time guildies, and my personal friend, Mr. James Polk, aka: Bloodfist / Bludfist / Kikishrimp / Mezzalot / Ogmoro / Klop / et. al.

Passed away peacefully at his home in Charleston, SC after a long battle with lung, bone, and finally brain cancer.

James has been with Jormungander since 1997, and across 3 different video games. He's been a keystone character in our guild for as long as I can remember, and has always been there to help out a fellow in need, both in game or in life, inasmuch as it was within his power to do so.

He was a rare man that left all those who met him better for having known him.

Sarah and I are going to send flowers and a card to his widow, both personally, and another batch on behalf of the DAoC guild <Jormungander>.

If any of you are interested in sending flowers or a card, PM me, or send me an email to ben (d-o-t) crowell (a-t) powersouth (d-o-t) com

and I can give you his mailing address.

James (Bloodfist) was a great man, and we, and I personally, am really going to miss him.

I'm so sorry for your loss :(

Thoughts and prayers out to his friends and family.

He sounds like a wonderful guy, and you make me wish I had known him better.
