Circle of 5 raid
Date : wednesday 25th Jan 06
Time : approx 10pm eastern (no idea what that is central, western etc)
Want to get about 1 to 1.5 groups of people to hit the Co5 dungy and clear as many of them as we can. If we cant get them all then we will have to come back another day and clean up.
The alliance knows and will be coming along. If you read this, get ur toon on and let everyone else know that its on too. The more the merrier.

The amount on champ expierience you get for killign each of these guys is amazing. McPhisto went from Cl1 to Cl3 in one raid.
come along
I thought it was based on Champion level. At Cl 3 you get the weapon and CL5 you can buy the secondary ability?

You get the Champ weapon when you finish the quest step at level 40 killing Rugak inside the Instanced Dungeon at the DF entrance.
If you haven't done the step up through Rugak (and hence don't already have your Champion Weapon), then killing the Co5 won't give you any credit for them.
You ONLY get the mega-bonus to your MLxp if you have the quest to kill the Co5 in your journal (or have already completed the quest, killed the Co5, and Utgard-Lok and are fostering someone else through it.)

They start in Jordheim at that Artr Hawking guy in the king's room. I think you may need to speak with a class trainer in Jordheim and then the Vidskona (or whatever they're called) beforehand also, then you get a note to take to Artr in the King's room, and he'll get you started on it.
It's a long, tedius, and annoying quest. It's in 3 parts.
A level 30 part -- with many steps.
A level 40 part -- with many steps.
And a level 50 part -- with just 1: Kill the Circle of 5 and then Utgard-Lok.

Not if you're on an RR7, ML9 supp: bonedancer.

I've done it several times, with various group configurations. The ML9 BD was the only one I could solo it with when I was working Grym through it.
2nd best was a healer + Supp SM, ML9 pet duo.
Everyone else has needed at least 3 players to do it well, but I'd recommend just a duo with a solid healer if you can go that route because early on the mobs get big fast, and the way Rugak scales, he can be more trouble for medium-sized groups than 2 folks duo'ing.
I've done it once with a full group. I think I doubling on Kwesatz and Argort in the 8 man when I did it, and I believe we had 2 or 3 Supp SMs and 2 healers in the group, plus a ML10 berserker at the time. We chewed through it with that group no problem.

i solo'd it on my ML1 RR3 BD ... no problems at all. Even done it with the BD and a tank....tank didnt do much and the BD and a healer..again ... healer didnt do much.
Also done it it warrior/zerk combo twice and a few other combos. wouldnt imagine a thane could take the final mob solo.
But jorm, in the demonic prision you have to kill 2 boss mobs before you get to the final guy, you should be able to solo them but what for the 3-4 adds that turn up after you kill them (or right at the end)

Chesh and I duoed the entire thing up to Co5. Could probably do a lot of that too. ;o We'll wait and go on raid w/ everyone tonight.
You can get most of the CL goodies just through RvR and racking up RP through the slaying of bad guys. <3 <3
