Farf and I have been seriously considering playing on EQ's progression servers. This will be 100% PvE on a very VERY casual pace. It is alot like eq, but you can advance the content or wait for the server event that does advance it.

THe graphics are alittle weak, but you can turn up every option and it wont bother you. You can download the free demo to try it out. If you dont like it, nothing lost but time.

Jeff has mentioned interest in it, but he said WoW will come first, which is cool.

If this interest you, look up Escape to Norrath. Play for a bit, then post back if you want to carry it further.
BEHOLD!!!! The gaseous stench of SKELETOR's breakfast burrito!!!!

I remember I hated the grind in the game. It was painful and downtime was ridiculous.

But every couple years I end up reactivating anyways just to remind myself of this. They seem to have made a lot of improvements to increase the speed of leveling and the like lately, and i love the concept of these new servers where the expansions are not all available immediately, so I might actually get to experience the original game that was bragged about so much in the past...

...but at the same time, I'd probably only play this in the afternoons on weekends, or on non-raid nights, or if I'm really really bored.

Edit: Didn't mean to give the impression that the game was terrible, because that isn't the case. There's a really cool atmosphere in a very unique fantasy world, and with the new methods of travel it's easy as hell to get around whereas it used to be a pain. Also, apparently from what I've been reading there's new health and mana regen potions for all the level ranges that you can get cheap, that cut the downtime that used to be so bad. Also, no more losing all your items on a bad death, as you can get them back from some new zone they added.
